Emergency

I have had to do an emergency trip to Wiltshire.
My gorgeous boy Blue is seriously ill.

It started on Saturday with the shits and puking, which was treated the usual way with boiled rice and chicken.

Then on Wednesday he started bleeding out..

He was rushed to the animal hospital and put straight on a drip.
The poor boy was hideously dehydrated and given less than a 50% survival rate.
During the tests they discovered something wrong with his heart. He is having an ECG for that today.

He had such a tough start. His body has scars from cigarette burns, 2 bullet wounds, many cuts and an attempt had been made to cut his ears off.

I love this big, soppy boy very much.
Please send your positive thoughts his way.
I don't want to lose him.

Thanks guys.

I do hope for both your sakes that boy Blue can and will make a recovery. Hell is people but you have been his angel. He will try his best to recover for you. There is nothing like the loving dependence and trust we are privileged to receive from these sweet friends..

I read a book a few months ago..'Water For Elephants,' by Sara Gruen. There was a young vet in it who cured a dog with 'the runs' with doses of honey. The book takes place in the 1920s and is a picture of what those traveling circus's were like..Grim but very interesting.

I hope your boy Blue can handle the vet experience. He certainly knows you're there for him and doing all you can. My heart goes out to him to be well, to get home again and be with his friends.

Bluey is a battler and much to the vets amazement he had recovered enough to come home today.
He's still not 100% but doing much better.
I'm making chicken soup. Jewish Penicillin cures all ailments across all species!

Totally, chicken soup is the business.
Great recovering Bluey, keep it up. (He does read your blog, right?)
